Redmoon Angels were born on star date 3022 by then banned Gen Justice of the Old Steiner ComGuard on the planet of Solaris. It was a rag tag band of warriors with no real aim or goals. They worked as guns for hire, for any thing from Mech parts to Dropship fuel. On Tuesday April 15th a warrior named KillerBeauty joined the then Liao Mercs Redmoon Angels. KillerBeauty being a Mechwarrior pilot of honor soon took control of the unit and recruited pilots to aid her in taking over the Redmoons from Gen Justice. One of her first recruits was a Private in the Steiner 3060g Assault Company. A Mechwarrior by the name of Firestorm. KillerBeauty and Firestorm worked on recruiting , and training all Redmoon pilots into great Mech pilots as Gen Justice sat back watching, with no real part. KillerBeauty and Firestorm and Major Crobird soon had pilots, like Chaos, Krypt, Frostrocket, Turbo, Snow, Skankz, Troll, Beernut, Bloodbath and Duckman to take control of the Redmoons from Gen justice and Place KillerBeauty as the new ruler of the Redmoon Angels. She soon started the word on making battle plans, manuals, and finding a home for the Angels. The Redmoons soon found a little used arena in the district of House Kurita on Solaris called, White Lotus. As the stable grew their name, their fighting skill became well known on Solaris and they started to get recruits from other stables.
One day while in White Lotus a KGB warrior came into the Redmoon Arena 5, and never left. He became a great member of the Redmoons and is still their best Comstar and Communications Officer (this warrior should be taken alive), his name is Palin. And to this day fights with the same honor and battle skills that the Redmoon Angels have worked so hard to be known for.
Soon the Redmoons became to big for the Great Houses to over look any longer and the time came for the Redmoons to join a House, (note: After KillerBeauty took over the Redmoons they stopped being Mercs for House Liao) Commanders from all the Great Houses came to call on the Redmoon Angels but in the end, Commander Assassin and a little friend called Smiler brought the Angels to their now Home of House Marik. (special note: Firestorm voted for House Kurita because of Kamikaze)
After joining House Marik, the Redmoons became a full Regiment with one full Battalion of fighting Mechwarrior pilots . There were 3 Companies in this Battalion all with their own set Company Names. These names were: ~AOD~ Angels of Death, ~WP~ War Pigs, ~AOW~ Angels of War with a 4th Company that never really got off the ground. The Redmoons had become a great force in Solaris and were on their way to becoming one of the greatest Stables on Solaris when the Black Riders of AOL hit Solaris and all were cast to run for their lives as Solaris had become a waste land. The Redmoons tried to stay together using Comstar and all communications possible. But war and easy money broke them apart. One year later Solaris with its deadly gas once again became safe for all to return. And the call to arms went out. It was a sad thing to see only a handful of this once great and mighty Stable that still remained, with a lot of their warriors in new stables and/or died from the wars that they battled in the year before against AOL...
During the increase of hostilities in 3025, the Redmoon Angels distinguished themselves as a front line unit until the cease fire was called in December of that year (closing of Multiplayer Battletech servers).
As widespread war was reduced to skirmishes and occasional planetary raids, the Redmoon Angles drew back their forces, as many pilots retired. Those who remained were ferried around as old war heroes, appearing more often in parades than on the battlefield.
But the drums of war don’t stay quiet for long. In 3048 (announcement of MWO), tensions began to increase between the great houses and rumors of combat spread. By 3049 (open beta of MWO), all of the great houses began activating old, decommissioned units. The Redmoon Angels were no exception. Tasked by the FWLM to be an incubator and support regiment for the, then reforming, Black Widow Company.
In January 3050, the Black Widow Company had achieved a mass where it could support itself and detached from the Command of the RMA.
With open war eminent, the Redmoon Angels were ordered to reactivate and rearm their Alpha and Bravo battalions known respectively as “Recon Rangers” and “War Pigs”.
