The impulse is multiplied by the damage of each weapon to calculate how much cockpit shake they cause. Weapons that have both high amounts of damage and high impulse will cause the cockpit to shake more. Conversely weapons that have either a low damage or low impulse value won't shake the cockpit of an enemy 'Mech much.
currently the weapon that dose the most amount of cockpit shaking in MWO is the AC-20.
